 Decorative streetlights don’t usually come with a NEMA socket, which means they can’t be fitted with a regular control node. Ohli® Kryptos is a “wired” version of Dhyan’s Ohli Node, with a form factor small enough to fit inside a decorative fixture.

Adding remote control and management to your decorative light fixtures

Ohli® is a smart outdoor lighting solution with a cellular connection to the cloud. Ohli Kryptos is the same smart control node, but small enough to fit inside the fixture, with nothing but a short wire antenna stuck to the outside of the fixture or pole.

No. Gateway. Needed. Ever.

Most smart streetlights or area lights connect to the network via a gateway device which can be unreliable and have a limited range. Because Ohli uses the cellular network, Ohli Smart Lighting doesn’t need a gateway (though we also have a LoRaWAN version). You can run Ohli Kryptos nodes standalone, or alongside regular Ohli nodes, or other existing networks such as Echelon and Acuity ROAM.

On powering up, the Ohli Kryptos node will automatically find and register itself with the Ohli Management System in the cloud, and you can view it in your Ohli mobile app on your phone or tablet.

Secure, cloud-based management and monitoring

Ohli Kryptos nodes come with a 5-year CMS license (central management system) based on Dhyan’s StreetMan. Management, monitoring, cloud hosting, support, maintenance and updates are all included. Ohli Smart Lighting uses TLS/AES to provide end-to-end encryption so it is fully protected from hackers and unwanted third parties.

Works with all cellular providers and networks

The Ohli Node controller uses a built-in eSIM card which works with multiple cellular providers and multiple networks (2G, 4G, 5G, LTE-M or NB-IoT), out of the box. The cell service and data connectivity fee is built-in. And because Ohli works with all major cellular providers, if service is spotty with one, it will automatically switch to another provider with better coverage in that area.

The technology is all built-in, pre-packaged and bundled with the software and monitoring service you need to make it work first time. But best of all, Ohli Smart Lighting controllers sell for a fixed, one-time price with no extra roaming or other add-on charges, and no annual fees. You know exactly how much you are paying for 5 years of service. There’s a 10-year option as well.
