Portland, Maine switched from Echelon Luminsight to StreetMan® and fixed their streetlight network. Echelon streetlight controls are no longer supported. But if your Echelon hardware is still running you can switch from Luminsight to StreetMan, a fully supported management system, like the cities of Portland and Scarborough did. Why switch to StreetMan?

By switching to StreetMan you can bring your smart streetlighting network back to the standard you were promised.

StreetMan provides you with total visibility of the status of your streetlights and your network, sending you texts when there’s an outage or fault, and showing the streetlights at their exact addresses. StreetMan can identify RF network issues as well as hardware issues such as fuse failure, wiring issues, power outages and faulty controllers, speeding up repairs, minimizing downtime and vastly improving reliability.

Echelon migration success stories

Cities like Portland and Scarborough are seeing results. With the field support tools of StreetMan, field crews are able to reduce field trips/inspections resulting in reduced truck rolls. As the city’s contractors now know exactly what the issue is, they go well prepared and can solve the problems in a single visit.

StreetMan not only manages smart streetlights, it also comes with support for managing other smart street assets such as EV chargers and environmental sensors. Echelon network expansion and replacement with Ohli from Dhyan

Migrating your Echelon network to StreetMan also gives you a seamless expansion and replacement path. Since Dhyan’s Ohli cellular smart streetlight controllers also use StreetMan as their CMS, you can run and manage Ohli controllers alongside Echelon controllers, in the same StreetMan view. This gives you a seamless path to expand your lighting network or, when and where necessary, to replace Echelon controllers with Ohli.
